Cooking, baking, ceramics for the table, art, gardening… Whatever course you book, you're choosing time away from the daily grind; time that has a beneficial effect on the soul (no exaggeration)
Couldn't agree with you more about spas. Utterly awful. I'd much rather be learning something new. Very impressed by your pots, and thank you for the tip about the French course - sounds marvellous.
Espresso drinker and artisan crockery lover here! I may be your target audience for last year's coffee mug...
Thank you for another lovely read/recipes, Karen. A timely read, too, as I've been wondering about booking a day's cookery course for this autumn - the Little Portland School sounds ideal.
It’s not glam like some but the location is brilliant and it’s v good. Great ethos behind it too. PS maybe I should make a batch of espresso mugs - except that, with my lack of skill, they would all be different sizes!
It was such a pleasure to have you both at the pottery studio again. I’m looking forward to seeing your lovely cornish clay creations when they come out of the kiln. And you’ve inspired me to try a cooking course myself, good food on gorgeous ceramics - what could be better? Thank you!
Could not agree more! Getting out of your comfort zone, using a different part of your brain, and having a joyful time in the process, is good for the soul! Xx
A great read as always Karen and brilliant advice too.
Brilliant! And hard agree. X
I have found my clan! X

It’s always joy to work with you and Lyn.

We loved it, Jackie. Thank you. I sense an annual pilgrimage coming on… 😍
