Happy Friday
I loved it when it was soooo freezing cold at night on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Down-side: the tender plants in the garden had to be swaddled for protection. Especially as they’re still recovering from the shock of being shifted from a sheltered spot in south London to the icy easterlies whistling around the side of our new home in the countryside. That wind. It reminds me of living in Norwich as a student when I remember us having to break the ice on the loo one ridiculous winter. Anyway, now it’s dankly warm and grey outside: a day when you long for the bright clarity of winter sunshine. As far as I’m concerned, both vagaries of the weather mean one thing: hunkering down. Which means… Quiz-time!
Coming next week…
